Publishing and Editing

So, 3 chapters into One Month in Patagonia and the 4th chapter coming in the next day or two and I've also edited the map section. Things are looking good and I'm very happy with the amount of hits so far I'm getting here. Now I'll need to travel more in order to have new material - a perfect excuse for more travel. Mission accomplished for this website :)

Back and Writing again

Hello Again!

I got back to Israel from Patagonia at the beginning of December (7th) and have since went back to UK and begun working on the Photos (I took thousands and have a lot of filtering out to do to decide which one's to publish), I have also been going over and correcting some of my travel notes.

In any case - I decided to start the publishing and will publish my travel notes and photos in chunks, by chronological order.

and now for something completly different

Lets start from somewhere in the middle. In the course of life we all take steps we remember for the rest of our lives, for some its getting married, giving birth and such, while for others it could be a more personal moment - winning a race or competition, or taking ownership of a business. This website is NOT about one of these moments.

This is the middle because the middle is where I am - No longer young but not old either, Not yet in the constant-routine phase of life, but getting there; and not from the centre of "the West" (I see Israel as periphery of "the West") but then more western then some westerners in certain aspects. This is the middle because I am no where near the end, but then I am not close to the beginning either. Finally, This is the middle because I say so and its my website :)

This website is about my travel's (and photography) so far on our planet. This website is not here to make you change your life, its here to make you enjoy it. If anything, I would like to inspire the non travelling viewers to hit the road and go travelling as there's a world out there to see and explore. By the way, I dont consider "Sea & Sun" vacations, or "Party all night, Sleep/get a Tan all day" vacations, as Travel - it doesnt count, yes its a vacation but its not travel even if you flew to the other side of the world for your holiday cottage... and No, I have nothing against these types of vacations either.... Its just that I see Travel as seeing and expanding your horizons, not fortifying yourself in a hotel or on a sandy beach, loveable as that Sandy beach might be.

Finally, this is something completely different as I've never actually owned a website that carries my name. Combine that with certain changes in my work life and you get the reason why I have reached a stage in my life that I feel I can say I'm about to start something completely different, this isn't the first time I've held up "something completely different moment coming up" flag and previously the reasons for waving that flag were justified (joining the army for example) and I'm sure this time will also be justified - so why am I writing about this? well... because I say so and its my website :)
